Applications for the 2026 program will open shortly. Details below are subject to change.

The DISQUIET program fee is $2,200.

In addition to the workshops, this fee includes admittance to all DISQUIET program events: additional lectures and craft talks, readings, the Portuguese Literature and Culture lecture series, literary walks, receptions, numerous meetings with Portuguese writers and artists, social events, and much more.

The program fee does not include airfare or accommodations.

Deadlines

  • The application period for 2026 will begin no later than September 20. The deadline for applications is December 5. All applications must be accompanied by a $20 application fee.
  • A $150USD deposit is required upon acceptance to the program.
  • March 16, 2026: Second payment of $300USD is due.
  • April 15, 2026: Payment in full is due.

    • Deposits made for 2026 will be non-refundable after March 31, except in case of program cancellation.
