Eduardo Quive (Maputo, 1991) is a Mozambican poet, writer, and journalist. He is the author of Para onde foram os vivos (poetry, 2022), finalist of the Mia Couto Literary Prize; Mutiladas (short stories, 2024), a work recommended for secondary education in CPLP countries by the International Institute of the Portuguese Language (IILP); and A cor da sua sombra (novel, 2026). His writing explores recurring themes such as memory, violence, the human condition, grief, and social tensions. His language combines poetic and narrative registers, with a strong symbolic charge. He is an organizer of literary anthologies focusing on contemporary authors from Mozambique and other Portuguese-speaking African countries. He was awarded the Maputo-Lisbon Literary Residency (2022) and has participated in international programs, including at the African Union in Ethiopia, CANEX in Ghana, and Sangam House in India. He is co-founder of the Mozambican authors’ platform Catalogus.
