Miradouro de Santa Catarina

by in Places to See

Miradouro de Santa Catarina is a wonderful place to enjoy a view of the city from a garden where the youth hang around the statue of Adamastor, the mythical sea monster from the national epic poem “Os Lusíadas” (The Lusiads) by Luís Vaz de Camões, Portugal’s Shakespeare. There’s a great café called Noobai where you can have a galão (a popular Portuguese coffee made with espresso and foamed milk and served in a tall glass) and take in the view
